Email subscription update

It appears that the email subscription issue is resolved. Turns out the problem wasn't on FeedBurner's end but on some of the individual email services (like Gmail).

If you were a subscriber, thanks for sticking through that mess. I know some subscribers got double emails a day while others got none. Hopefully, though, the whole thing should now be in the rear view mirror.

And if you haven't subscribed yet, what are ya waiting for?!? An invitation? Actually, the invitation is sitting on the upper-right part of this blog...so now you have no excuses :-)

Front 242 - Work 242 (N.Off Is N.Off)

This is track 3 on Nonstop New Wave Mix #17.

Oddly, this N.Off Is N.Off version is actually shorter (5:10) than the regular version (6:39), both of which are from their album Never Stop. I guess the group had n.off. (I know, I know...roll your eyes)

Depeche Mode - Route 66 (Miles Away Mix)

This is track 2 on Nonstop New Wave Mix #17.

This is not an official remix release but a bootleg remix.

Nonstop Energy Mix #54

logo

Happy Hump Day! I thought I'd post my newest DJ mix today instead of waiting for Happy Friday. I may have another mix ready by Friday, but no guarantees.

This is a 30-minute set of energy tracks. It's a continuation mix, picking up where Nonstop Energy Mix #53 left off.

Playlist:
1. Haddaway - What Is Love (Lunaris Mix)
2. Rachel Stevens - Some Girls (Europa XL Vocal Mix)
3. Linkin Park - Shadow Of The Day (Abbott & Chambers Remix)
4. September - Cry For You (Spencer & Hill Remix)
5. Erika Jayne - Stars (Moto Blanco Dub)
6. Plumb - In My Arms (Bronleewe & Bose Extended Mix)

Cascada - What Hurts The Most (Original Mix)

This is track 6 on Nonstop Energy Mix #51.

Duderstadt feat Kirsty Hawkshaw - Beatitude (Store 'N Forward Remix)

This is track 5 on Nonstop Energy Mix #51.

Duderstadt is actually the force behind Fragma. They are also brothers, Dirk and Marco Duderstadt.

Kirsty Hawkshaw was the vocalist for Fragma's 2006 single Radio Waves when Fragma's signature vocalist Damae left. Hawkshaw has been lending her vocals for many other singles by various dance, trance, house, and eurodance artists since the 90s.

On this single, Hawkshaw teams with the brothers again.

Fragma - Deeper (Extended Mix)

This is track 4 on Nonstop Energy Mix #51.

Like Lara McAllen, who briefly left Angel City and then later returned, Damae had left Fragma but returned. This song, released late last year, features Damae behind the mic for Fragma once again.

Perasma - Swing 2 Harmony (MYNC Project Remix)

The final post for Triple Feature Monday is track 3 on Nonstop Energy Mix #51.

Rachel Stevens - Some Girls (Sharp Boys Hot Fridge Vocal Mix)

This is track 2 on Nonstop Energy Mix #51.

Andy Hunter - Amazing (Original Mix)

This is track 8 on Nonstop Christian Dance Mix #17.

Andy Hunter has toured with some of the top names in trance, including legendary DJ Tiesto.

Many of his tracks lack vocals; this is one that does have vocals, which I personally prefer to instrumental trance.

Nonstop 80s Mix #7

logo

Happy Friday! Here's a new 80s DJ mix, 30 happy minutes long.

This DJ mix is a continuation of Nonstop 80s Mix #6, picking up where that DJ mix left off.

Playlist:
1. The Jets - Cross My Broken Heart (12" Mix)
2. Rick Astley - Together Forever (Lover's Leap Extended Mix)
3. Shannon - Let The Music Play (Hot Tracks Mix)
4. Swing Out Sister - Breakout (Disconet Remix)
5. Taylor Dayne - Prove Your Love (12" Mix)
6. Company B - Fascinated (Extended Club Version)
7. Pebbles - Girlfriend (Peter Slaghuis Mix)

Sonic Praise - You Are Worthy Of My Praise

This is track 7 on Nonstop Christian Dance Mix #17.

In general, Sonic Praise is not quite the quality of Nitro Praise, but then again, recent stuff from Nitro Praise isn't quite the quality of early Nitro Praise either. This track, though, is a high-tempo dance track that is easily better than anything Nitro Praise 8 has.

Email subscriptions update

While FeedBurner is still fixing their broken email subscription delivery toy, I noticed that FeedBlitz is back up so I'm going to use FeedBlitz to deliver email updates to existing subscribers in the meantime.

If you'd like to subscribe and have not yet, FeedBurner still works in terms of signing you up properly. So go ahead and use the FeedBurner email subscription form on the right side of the blog; FeedBurner will record your subscription and I'll then add you to FeedBlitz.

Of course, when FeedBurner's email subscription delivery service is nursed back to health, I'll stop using FeedBlitz and resume using FeedBurner. This way, you'll always be in the loop with updates...but never from two sources at the same time.

Ah, technology...gotta love it...

Email subscriptions not working

FeedBurner is having problems with email delivery for those of you who have subscribed to updates via email. They are investigating the problem.

I was hoping to use FeedBlitz as a temporary email delivery system while FeedBurner is down, but it looks like FeedBlitz is also having some technical problems. So I'll just wait for FeedBurner to fix the problem.

I'll post again when FeedBurner has rectified the problem. In the meantime, I guess you'll have to get your updates on this blog the old-fashioned way: manually visiting here every business day! : )

P.S. I also noticed the RSS feed address was old. I just fixed that. So if you subscribed via RSS and weren't getting any updates, that's probably the reason. Just delete that feed and re-subscribe.

LP-T - Waiting (Michael Farrington's Sunrise Mix)

This is track 6 on Nonstop Christian Dance Mix #17.

LP-T's remixes have earned a place on trance legend Paul van Dyk's playlists. This trance remix is available on his album The Move, along with Michael Farrington's Original Mix, another good remix.

N-Vision & People In A Box - I'm In Touch (Progressive Mix)

This is track 5 on Nonstop Christian Dance Mix #17.

N-Vision and People In A Box collaborated on this high energy trance track.

Wednesday, February 20, 2008

Plumb - In My Arms (Bimbo Jones Extended Mix)

This is track 4 on Nonstop Christian Dance Mix #17.

World-class remixer Bimbo Jones does an excellent job with his remix of this tune. As good as it is, though, I still like the Bronleewe & Bose remix of In My Arms better. That will have to wait for another DJ mix, though...

Storm - Look At The Life (Revived 45 Edit)

This is track 3 on Nonstop Christian Dance Mix #17.

This album is a compilation of various Christian dance artists.

Jennifer Lopez - Hold It, Don't Drop It (Moto Blanco Club Mix)

The final post for Triple Feature Monday is track 6 on Nonstop Energy Mix #50 and track 1 on Nonstop Energy Mix #51.

Not a Jennifer Lopez fan but Moto Blanco has the remix touch to make this version of this track a groovy tune.

Paris Hilton - Nothing In This World (Dave Aude Vocal Mix)

This is track 5 on Nonstop Energy Mix #50.

Not a Paris Hilton fan at all, but I have to admit I like the Dave Aude remixes of this Paris track. Who knew?

Erika Jayne - Stars (Moto Blanco Remix)

This is track 4 on Nonstop Energy Mix #50.

I really dig this track, but only this Moto Blanco remix. The other remixes of the song are bad, in my opinion...and not bad as in good. This also hit #1 on the Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart.

Friday, February 15, 2008

Celine Dion - Taking Chances (Ralphi Rosario & Craig J's Vocal Mix)

This is track 3 on Nonstop Energy Mix #50.

This song actually hit #1 on the Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart shortly before I included this version in this mix.

Nonstop Energy Mix #53

logo

Happy Friday! Here's a new 30-minute DJ set of energy tracks...trance, club, eurodance, yadda...

This mix picks up where Nonstop Energy Mix #52 left off. And like that mix, this one is also a high-tempo dance mix where all songs are a minimum 135 bpm. Floor it, baby! Dance floor, that is : )

Playlist:
1. Andrelli & Blue feat. Hila - Imagine (Six Senses Remix)
2. Angel City feat. Lara McAllen - 24/7 (Puchetta & Philly Remix)
3. Dan-J - See The Light (Promo Mix)
4. Cascada - What Hurts The Most (Darren Styles Remix)
5. Shadowrider - Blue Horizon (Guiseppe Ottavianni Remix)
6. Mr. Sam feat. Kirsty Hawkshaw - Split (Aly & Fila Mix)
7. Haddaway - What Is Love (Lunaris Mix)

Angel City feat. Lara McAllen - 24/7 (2-4 Grooves Remix)

This is track 2 on Nonstop Energy Mix #50.

This song is only available as a single, as far as I know. I'm using the Puchetta & Philly Remix from this CD in Nonstop Energy Mix #53, which I'll post tomorrow for Happy Friday.

Kate Ryan - Voyage Voyage (Crew 7 Extended Mix)

This is track 7 on Nonstop Energy Mix #49 and track 1 on Nonstop Energy Mix #50.

It's a cover of the 80s song by Desireless and will be released on Kate's upcoming 2008 album. Another cover of this song by Papillon was part of New Wave vs Energy Mix #17, one of my older DJ mixes.

Wednesday, February 13, 2008

Groovestylerz - We Are Family (Steve N King So Hard Mix)

I think I'll start doing two posts a day for now (with the exception of Triple Feature Monday). I might do more or less in the future, depending on what side of the bed I get up on.

In any event, this is track 6 on Nonstop Energy Mix #49.

This is a dance cover of the 1979 Sister Sledge hit.

Britney Spears - Piece Of Me (Bimbo Jones Club Mix)

This is track 5 on Nonstop Energy Mix #49.

Monday, February 11, 2008

Tabledancers - Obsession (Stan Remix)

This is track 3 on Nonstop Energy Mix #49.

This is a cover of the 80s hit by Animotion. It's available on the album Best of DiscoGalaxy 20.

Beatfreakz - Somebody's Watching Me (Hi Tack Club Mix)

This is track 2 in Nonstop Energy Mix #49.

This is a cover of Rockwell's 1984 song. TobyMac also did a cover of this song, which was used in Nonstop Christian Dance Mix #6, to suggest that God is the "somebody" who's watching. This Beatfreakz version is a higher-energy dance cover.

Cascada - How Do You Do (Exr Reconstruction)

It's Triple Feature Monday, so here is the first of three posts for this Monday to start your week off on your dancing feet.

This is the last track in Nonstop Energy Mixes #47-48 and the first track in Nonstop Energy Mix #49.

Nonstop Energy Mix #52

logo

It's Happy Friday with a new DJ mix... a 30-minute set of energy tracks.

This mix picks up where Nonstop Energy Mix #51 left off. It's a high-tempo dance mix where all tunes are 135 bpm or higher. Yep, that includes the Celine Dion track...who knew?

You'll also notice a Chinese dance track. I really dig it, even though I don't understand any of the Mandarin she's singing :) Gives the DJ mix a truly international flavor...lol

Playlist:
1. Dancefloor Driverz feat. Joana - Sleeping In My Car (Crap Rocker Club Remix)
2. D.H.T. feat. Edmee - Listen To Your Heart (Furious F. EZ Extended Mix)
3. Hong Zi Hui - Shuo Ai Ni (Exr Remix)
4. Cascada - What Do You Want From Me (Flip & Fill Remix)
5. Perasma - Swing 2 Harmony (Deserves An Effort Polyphony Vocal Mix)
6. Celine Dion - Shadow Of Love (DJ Gabriel G Mix)
7. Andrelli & Blue feat. Hila - Imagine (Six Senses Remix)

Wednesday, February 6, 2008

Bappi Lahiri - Habiba (Razormaid Mix)

This is track 8 on Nonstop New Wave Mix #16.

Indian New Wave music? Yep...in fact, the Razormaid remix service even deemed this song worthy of a Razormaid remix.

Nonstop New Wave Mix #17

logo

Here's a 31-minute DJ set of nonstop new wave tracks.

Playlist:
1. Erasure - Blue Savannah (Razormaid Mix)
2. Depeche Mode - Route 66 (Miles Away Mix)
3. Front 242 - Work 242 (N.Off Is N.Off)
4. Pet Shop Boys - Left To My Own Devices (Razormaid Mix)
5. Dead Or Alive - You Spin Me Round (Murder Mix)
6. New Order - The Perfect Kiss (Hot Tracks Mix)
7. Book Of Love - Witchcraft (Extended Mix)

Kon Kan - I Beg Your Pardon (Special K Mix)

This is track 7 on Nonstop New Wave Mix #16.

This remix of the song is fairly rare.

Kon Kan also released some new remixes last year. The best of the new ones is the "Dark Mix", but that's kinda like being the tallest midget because all the new mixes suck. I'd stick with the classic remixes, like this one.
